2. Services Offered

Harold Installations may provide the following services, depending on the customer’s needs and service availability:

DStv installation
Satellite installation and repairs
TV mounting and setup
General installation services

Services are provided based on availability and confirmed booking. A service request is not guaranteed until the job details, timing, and availability have been confirmed.

3. Quotes & Pricing

Any quote provided by Harold Installations is an estimate unless it has been clearly confirmed in writing or agreed directly before the service begins.

Pricing may vary depending on job complexity, required materials, site conditions, travel requirements, additional work requested, or issues discovered during assessment.

The final price will be confirmed before work begins. If additional work becomes necessary, we will discuss it with the customer before proceeding where reasonably possible.

4. Service Delivery

Services are performed at the agreed location and, where possible, at the agreed time or appointment window.

Delays may occur due to external factors such as weather, traffic, access issues, safety concerns, power outages, or unexpected technical complications.

Customers must ensure that Harold Installations has safe and reasonable access to the installation site, equipment, roof areas, walls, connection points, and any other areas required for the job.

5. Payments

Payment terms must be agreed before service delivery. Customers are responsible for paying the agreed amount for services provided.

Depending on the job, a deposit or upfront payment may be required for materials, travel, or booking confirmation.

  • Accepted payment methods may include cash, EFT, or other methods agreed with Harold Installations.
  • Full payment may be required upon completion of the service.
  • Proof of payment may be requested for EFT or electronic payments.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers must provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking. This helps us manage technician availability and appointment planning.

Rescheduling is subject to availability and may depend on location, weather, technician scheduling, and the nature of the service requested.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, or denied access to the service site may incur reasonable charges, especially where travel, materials, or technician time has already been allocated.

7. Liability

Harold Installations takes care to provide professional workmanship and practical service advice. However, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of signal caused by external service provider outages, weather, or third-party equipment failure.

We are not responsible for pre-existing system issues, hidden wiring defects, weak structures, damaged equipment, unsuitable mounting surfaces, or faults that existed before our work began.

To the extent permitted by South African law, our liability is limited to the value of the specific service provided by Harold Installations for the relevant job.

8. Warranties

Any warranty or workmanship guarantee applies only if it is explicitly stated for the specific job, service, or installed item.

No blanket guarantee applies unless specified in writing. Warranties may not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, third-party work, power surges, weather events, customer-supplied equipment, or changes made after completion.

9. User Responsibilities

Customers are expected to support safe and efficient service delivery by meeting the following responsibilities:

Provide accurate information about the service needed, location, equipment, and any known issues.
Ensure safe and accessible working conditions for the technician.
Provide any necessary permissions for installations, drilling, mounting, roof access, property access, or body corporate approval where required.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, business information, text, branding, design elements, service descriptions, and related materials remain the property of Harold Installations unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or reuse our website content or branding without prior written permission.

11. Privacy & Data Usage

Customer information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African privacy principles.

Personal information is used only for service delivery, customer communication, quote preparation, booking management, payment follow-up, and related business purposes.

12. Changes to Terms

Harold Installations reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect changes in services, business operations, legal requirements, or customer processes.

Updated terms will be published on the website. Continued use of our website or services after updates are published means you accept the updated terms.
